The Challenge

When Made For Retail initially reached out to me, they sought a designer with a deep understanding of the Target Bullseye Playground impulse business. They needed freelance support to design products priced at $1, $3, and $5. With my extensive expertise in this area, I was confident that I was the ideal designer to assist them in achieving their goals!

Unfamiliar with Target Bullseye Playground?

Located at the front of Target stores, Bullseye Playground is a popular destination for budget-friendly, seasonal, and trendy products. It offers a rotating selection of home decor, party supplies, toys, stationery, and other small items, typically priced at $1, $3, and $5. The offerings change frequently to reflect upcoming holidays, trends, and seasons, making it a favorite spot for shoppers seeking affordable, fun finds. Known for its convenience and impulse buys, Bullseye Playground delights customers with unique products at great prices.

The Goal

Made For Retail sought a freelance partner to design seasonal products for Target Bullseye Playground’s programs. They needed someone who could seamlessly integrate into their systems and processes while also creating visually appealing products.

The Solution

With my background in retail impulse products priced at $1, $3, and $5, I was excited to dive into this project! My experience in illustration and design really played a key role as I created fun and appealing product designs that would grab shoppers' attention. I also put together some easy-to-follow style guides to support their product designers, ensuring everything looked cohesive.

The Results

Through our long-term partnership, I’ve had the pleasure of designing over 150 bins, which include more than 450 individual products and over 20 unique style guides. I absolutely love creating designs and style guides for their team, and it’s been a joy to contribute to their success.
